Infants receive personalized attention that closely follows their schedule at home. The classroom runs at a 1:4 ratio which allows children and staff to create close, nurturing bonds while building on developmental skills.

All of our staff are trained in Safe Sleep practices, and meals (formula and solids) are provided following the USDA guidelines for infants. Parents can leave their children with us knowing they are safe and cared for.

Josie’s is proud to serve children who attend Stanwood, Twin City and Cedarhome elementary schools. Transportation is provided to and from each school for an extra monthly fee. Care is also available for children on half days, non-school days, and holiday breaks (such as winter and spring breaks.)

During the Summer, our school age program turns into a Summer program where children spend their days playing, crafting, creating, and attending field trips. Staff plan activities that will still encourage children to utilize the skills they use most during the school year including social/emotional and self-regulation skills, problem solving, and cognitive skills.

Josie’s Montessori is a preschool program for children ages 3 to 6. Based on the theories of Maria Montessori, the program is structured so that each child learns at his/her own pace and develops skills for independence. Children learn academic knowledge in areas such as practical life and social skills, language, mathematics, sensorial and cultural subjects.

Classes run from 8:30am to 3:00pm, with wrap-around care also available for an extra fee.

Sponsored by Snohomish County, ECEAP offers 3 and 4-year-olds a wide variety of educational experiences. Families may qualify for this free preschool program due to income levels, kinship and foster care system, and other environmental factors.

“We sent both of our children to Josie’s for childcare, and we immediately felt like our family was watching our children. The staff not only cared for our babies like their own, but loved them. They would always listen to any concerns that we had and never questioned any of our decisions. I cannot recommend it enough!”

– Caitlin M, former childcare family

“My 4 kids have all been at Josie’s! From my oldest son starting when he was 3 (now 20), to my twin daughters (now 14), and my youngest (now 9). For so many years, I knew I could count on the daycare gals to accommodate whatever crazy requests I had. I was able to nurse my children and work full-time, and they always followed whatever routine was necessary and overly communicated with me. I loved the constant activities planned, the summer field trips, the friendships and trust. I just cannot say enough great things and will always cherish the amazing memories built growing up at Josephine’s daycare.”

“We have been sending our two girls to Josie’s since they were just a few months old, and over the past 4+ years, we’ve developed a deep trust and strong relationships with the caregivers. Both of our kids love going to daycare, and it’s amazing to see the new skills they acquire over time. We truly value the partnership we have with Josie’s and appreciate their genuine investment in our children’s development.”
